The NCAA is fascist and ruins memories by punishing every of us in participating in the past....it feels horrible to look this happen for "taking money" which should be the main goal of any college student. Punish the money dealers....the drug dealers....or is it even illegal to give a college athelete money? NCAA officials don't protect the sport but increase greed and frustration....if anything, college atheletes are being used to pay for numerous things....and they receive no lifetime insurance should they receive injured and they receive no pay for creating those huge incomes that pay NCAA official salaries. I move every NCAA college give its players a stipend...between classes and football there is no time to work and I loved making money so i could go out....how can they afford their fun and why are we, as alumni, letting this continue. Let's put pressure on the NCAA before they do anything else embarrassing...

I've listened to his show for two-years now and in the last few months it just seems like he's become very bitter and negative on almost every aspect of the sports world. The worst being College Football By college football I mean it seems like it every began with the NCAA's investigation of USC and Reggie Bush. In the Herd's opinion you can't say ANYTHING bad about the PAC 10, or USC. I hate USC for many reason's but there's no denying that they're a great team but for God sake, every he's done in the past few months is defend everthing having to do with them! USC is # 1 no matter what and Ohio State(the Big 10) sucks, they're schedule's are too easy and so forth. I'm a Notre Dame fan and at least most of us ND fans have the guts to admit that we suck and at times play some easy schools but Herd won't even admit it when USC plays an easy team....once again it's okay if they do it. Does ANYONE else receive this from Cowherd? I sure wish so!

I went to the Suzuki dealership in Benton Ar and talked to a salesman that told me that a Hyabusa is a good every around bike. I am 22 years old and have never ridden on a motorcycle though I am pretty good on my mountain bike so I am fairly certain that it won't be too difficult to learn. I was originally going to receive a smaller bike to learn on but after talking to my buddies and seeing how much aftermarket parts there are for the Hayabusa I don't look how I could go wrong. If I do receive bored with the power there are superchargers and every kinds of things out there to make it a little faster, not so with other bikes. I know that a Ninja 250 is a girls bike and I am not a stupid teenager with a death wish. I am 22 years old and in the Army so I have more responsibility than most people in their 30s. Is the Hayabusa a good handling bike or is it more of a drag bike? I want something sporty that I can take on long rides to Dallas Tx on the weekends and not be sore when I receive there. P.S. I steer a 2005 Mustang GT that has way more horsepower than any bike so power is not an issue with me. I can handle it. I just want a comfortable sport bike with good looks.

HORSEBACKHISTORY!!!!! Everyone tell me your horseback storiess :D.. My horseback history My mum bought a beautiful TB, 17.2hh light bay ex - racehorse named Teddy! Boy, was he a stunner? I was 2 when she first bought him and there are pictures of his first day, me sitting on his back and my mum holding on to me so I didn't fall. I had a grin from ear to ear. As I got older and he got very unsafe I wasn't allowed to ride around on his back anymore, so, I would watch him grazing in the field for endless hours. But then my mum put him at livery on a yard. Foot and mouth came, and because I lived on a farm I wasnt allowed to move around and look teddy. When it was (finally) over I straight away went with my mum to look Teddy only to find out he had gotten lame in the field! We brought him home because he had cuts over his body from barbed wire and the stables refused to take it down! Two months, when I was seven, my mum sold teddy! D:... I had been riding a pony called fluffy who was being kept at my home as a favour to my pal but I was so upset that I didn't want to ride anymore (arrive on I was only tiny and got in tantrums easily) and later they took fluffy away and moved home to a place with its possess stables. I was jealous, I admit. I began riding at a stables (the one where we used to keep teddy) on a grey 15hh thoroughbred,Jasper, who was a bit big for me but was the cutest thing ever! He would honestly carry me over any height of jump and knew exactly how to make me grin! But ofcourse, no good things last forever, and he got lame. He was lame for longer than I thought a horse could be for (I assumed it would only take them a day to receive better!!!) and eventually the stables closed down for public use. I tried two different stables, both of which were horrible and expected me to be able to do things that I was too young to do. They gave me a 16hh heavy horse to guide out to the field (i was tiny at this time), this horse barged and broke my hand. I went about a year without riding and then my mum found this place, a place i adore. I got put on a horse, about 15hh tall, palamino cob with long socks. I rode her and suddenly remembered how much I loved riding. My mum said that I had the same grin on my face I did when I first sat on Teddy and my riding teacher said I was way beyond average for my age (which shocked me cos I was guessing what to do as I'd forgotten almost EVERYTHING!). So I was even more excited when they moved me up to a more forward going horse when I was 12 he was a 17.1hh appaloosa 4 year old. This is where my real riding began. I knew I couldn't handle him as soon as I saw him, but I wasn't scared. I looked at him, he was grey with 3 spots (very tiny spots) and had the most beautiful eyes ever. He was too big for me, my mum said I was tiny on him! He was brilliant and as soon as I sat on him my position was "perfect". I knew he was going to be my faveourite. But I was too young and tiny to do anything real on him, just tiny jumps and things. So they put me on a Irish Sport Horse 16hh mare. She was INCREDIBLE, I rode her for a year when she became lame (why does this always happen to me?!?!?) and then I had to let her relax for a bit and went back to riding the appy. I suddenly hated him, he'd done nothing wrong, but I wanted my ISH back! He refused to take me over jumps and got scared of trotting poles (hed been mistreated since I'd rode him).. Then the worst happened. The Irish Sports Horse had been put down. Shot. Turned into dog meat.. Literally. I don't think I've ever cried so difficult in my life and from then on whenever I sat on the appaloosa I would hate every moment of it until I realised that this was my dream. I became determined to conquor this horse. I bought him a month later when he was six.And guess what? I finished my first show on him 5ft jumping corse with 6 jumps (not many but still), after owning him for a year, and got first! I loved this horse and I knew that he'd got over his fear. Then, as he was on loan because I couldnt afford him after that show, my stables stopped the loan and sold him. That was two days ago. Where is he? I don't know. Two things I do know are: He's not being riden by his new owners because they only need him as a companion. and number 2: I'll not look him again.

ALLEGATIONS surrounding corruption in cricket continue to widen, with Indian Premier League officials claiming that a leading batsman had to be moved up the order to prevent him manipulating matches. And witnesses claim the West Indies were "every over" the same man who made approaches so dubious to Australian players in London last year that they reported him. Sri Lanka players also reported "suspicious characters" who made approaches during last year's World T20 in England. The latest revelations came as Pakistan tried to discredit secretly recorded claims from batsman Yasir Hameed that match-fixing was rampant in the team. Two IPL officials from India independently verified that a leading batsman had played so suspiciously that they could not explain his behaviour. When The Australian asked direct questions about the batsman both officials agreed that his performances were highly suspect. They did not want him named for fear that it could be traced back to them and guide to retribution in India. Start of sidebar. Skip to end of sidebar. Return to start of sidebar. One of the officials claimed that the player's performances were "puzzling", particularly scoring slowly towards the end of an innings when the opposite should have been happening. He consistently below-performed and often appeared uninterested or distracted. The other official revealed that IPL franchise owners often complained about matches being "rigged" and claimed that the player in question had to be moved up the order for the good of the team. "He has been below the scanner for a while," the official said. Neither official could say if the player was being monitored by the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption and security unit. The ACSU does not comment on its investigations. However The Australian has been told that the ACSU has been "frustrated" by "several" boards on the subcontinent for failing to take stronger action against their players after being provided with information about dubious behaviour. The two main targets have been the Pakistan team and the IPL. Three Pakistan players, captain Salman Butt and quick bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, have been provisionally suspended and charged by the ACSU after being exposed in a News of the World sting. every have been questioned by police after the News of the World showed secret footage of player agent Mazhar Majeed receiving pound stg. 150,000 ($260,000) for organising Amir and Asif to deliberately bowl no-balls at specified moments in the recent fourth Test against England at Lord's. The ACSU also did not comment on whether West Indies had made any reports for suspicious approaches during last year Twenty20 World Cup. Witnesses claimed they were "surprised" by the remarkably friendly relationship between some West Indies players and the Indian who was eventually reported to the ACSU by four Australian players and identified as having a dubious past and strong links with bookmakers. The ACSU was unable to act against the man because every his approaches were considered too "social" to provide direct evidence. Sri Lankan officials confirmed that its players had been approached at two separate events over the past year. The first approaches were at the World Twenty20, where senior ACSU investigator Alan Peacock spoke to the Sri Lankan players. Nishantha Ranatunga, the SLC secretary, confirmed that "the report was handed over to ACSU by manager Brendon Kuruppu". I am a student athlete at a Div. II school, and i am thiniking about transferring to a smaller school such as NAIA to play a different sport, football. It has been about a month and a half since school started and for some reason, i dont feel as comfortable as i thought i would have. I just dont feel comfortable being around some of the people, and im not the biggest go out 7 times a week and party nice of person. The school i am thinking about going to was second on my list for school, and its a little more relaxed and is also catholic as am i. And i am nice of losing interest in the sport i am playing, and over time my goals in life have changed as well. I had alot of scholarship offers for football before i chose basketball, and now i am finding myself wanting to play football and the absence and the feeling that the sport gave me in my heart is telling me i should do something. I have been thinking about this decision for quite some time, and it is beginning to bother me. Should i wait until the end of the semester to look how i feel? Or if i make this decision how do i need to go by getting everything done? The college has the courses and degrees i would like to keep pursuing as well as its jus a little bit closer to home, but theres still distance.

My husband's best pal wants my husband to do sports with him maybe 20 hours a week. Also, they plan sport vacations whenever they receive a chance. I think it's odd because I think this guy wants my husband every to himself. He even tries to invite himself on our family vacations. He doesn't go on family vacations with his family so he plans them with my husband. My husband goes and has fun but doesn't desire a family vacation because he already went with his pal. So is this odd behavior?

As if the only things you can do in the U.S. are when you are given rights to do something in the first place. If you disagree with the policy's to flying a plane (like going through a body scanner, which does not improve safety at every because people can put things in their cavities) people would say "you don't have to fly, it's not a right", which is very ignorant. As you can look, there's no right to go outside, or to play sports, or there's no right to dress how you like. So does that mean the government should be able to restrict those other activities that we do? You don't have a right to dress like that? You don't have a right to play sports?

I'm a 30/f and I work in the financial business. A co-worker in his 40's is an avid hunter, it is his passion - and that is fine. We have joked around back and forth about killing animals and I have never been extremely serious about the way that I feel but he knows killing animals doesn't settle well. I am not a vegetarian. He doesn't go into detail about it but he expects me to have a GOOD reason (other than thinking it's unhappy to shoot an innocent deer) for not agreeing with hunting, as he can back himself up. I don't think it should matter - I just don't like the fact that people take guns and shoot and kill animals as a sport. I mean, take up knitting or something, ya know? Opinions? He kills animals for food and to control the areas they roam. That is his reason...

when they contribute nothing to society compared to real jobs. It's disgusting & i'm sick of watching the news and about half the news seems to end up being about sports and what happened in cricket. Why is this important? There are special sports channels people can watch if they are really so interested. Also i'm sick of hearing about their sexual affairs - tiger woods, wayne rooney etc etc I couldn't care less & the only reason they do it is because they receive paid so much & think 'oh it's ok because I still have every my crappy sports endorsments so i'm still gonna receive 73873 million a year, so basically i can receive away with anything'. It makes me sick to think what that money could be used for instead of their shit WHY DOES ANYONE REALLY GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT SPORTS THAT THEY HAVE TO DEVOTE THEIR WHOLE LIVES TO IT PAY £500 FOR A TICKET ...WHO REALLY GIVES A SHIT ? IS THERE NOT LIKE ABOUT 37892472498749874 OTHER MORE PRODUCTIVE THINGS YOU COULD BE SPENDING YOUR MONEY ON OR THINKING ABOUT INSTEAD. uhm well i don't exactly pay attention to sports but it's like something you just CANNOT receive away from, IT's ON TELEVISION every THE TIME & i hardly ever even watch television and even I managed to notice this, when you are just walking in the road - it's every over newspapers EVERYWHERE IN YOUR FACE.

This is the tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVxM3c8YWjE And the costume would be a shredded-up white shirt with dirt stains on it, with a black sports bra underneath, black dance shorts, nude foot thongs, and really messed up hair and nice of pallid makeup to make me look homeless or lost or something like that. The dance would be based off of a homeless girl I saw when I was in Ecuador who looked about 13-14ish. She was crying, and she was so skinny it was scary. I wanted to give her money, but my dad wouldn't let me because he said that she could hurt me, or try to receive more from me, or something. He said it wasn't safe, but the image of her sitting on the sidewalk, crying, bones jutting out, has been haunting me ever since. Would this be a good idea for a dance? What types of movements should I use? Any ideas of props or anything? Choreography tips? Thanks! PS: Esta Soldedad means "This loneliness." Oh, and I'm 13.

Im young and a girl and probably one of the most die difficult Man United fan. I'm really passionate about the club. Unfortunately it is quite difficult to strike up a discussion with any of my peers because the females know nothing about football and the males think I know nothing about football and giggle at me when I make any nice of remark regarding the beautiful game. Do you think football is a sport that only men to watch and support. And women know nothing about it? Why? @ICE555 I also pisses me off. Some girls even supporeted United becaue Ronaldo was there and switched to Real when he did. But don't you also say that some tennis players are hot? My dad' family is from Manchester and every of my relatives support Manchester City like most fans from Manchester. My dad was the odd one out. My first Unitd game was at Wembley in 1985 in F.A. Cup final. I honestly knew "Glory Glory Man United" before my "A,B,C's". I don't live in Manchester so I don't hold season tickets. The 1999 Women's World Cup Final sold out to 90,000+ spectators. I bet players like Mia Hamm and Marta are better than some men football players. But this question isn't about womens football. It's about women's spectators/fans. @ Mathew D. - Sorry I mean- Why do you think that men believe football is a sport that only men to watch and support. And women know nothing about it?

I am interested in a two door sports car as an investment. My concern with the cobra is I would always have to watch it like a hawk in the parking lot and could not really like a meal at a restaraunt etc. The porsche has the avantage of a back seat and fully closing top. The disadvantage is it is more common and maintence would be costly.

My daughter and her son are both seniors at the same school. My daughter is a 4.0 student, who is taking every college and AP classes this year. Her son is taking lower level classes and is already failing some of his classes, and due to failing too many classes in the past, he is most likely not going to be able to graduate this year because he doesn't have enough credits. My daughter works very difficult for her grades and she is recognized regularly at awards banquets and other honors at school. I am very careful never to bring any of these things up, but this is a smallish town and these things are always in the local paper with pictures. The problem is, my sister in law regularly says things that belittle my daughter's accomplishment...such as she will mention she saw her picture in the paper and say something like "we can't every have perfect kids like you", or "it's too bad we can't every be natural geniuses" (as if she doesn't put forth any effort, when in actuality she sacrifices going out with her friends to study instead if she needs to) or "it's too bad she isn't as good at sports as she is at her classes" (she is involved in music and academic clubs but has never been interested in sports...SIL's son is involved in sports). It's getting to the point that I can't stand talking to her and am considering blocking her calls and emails. What would you do? I can't really say anything about his sports accomplishments without sounding snarky....he is a member of various sports teams but he isn't allowed to participate in most of the games due to ineligibility because of his failing grades. He is not a stellar athlete and a sports scholarship is very unlikely.

Like a place that lets you hire sporting equipment, e.g. surfboards and/or offer you the sport itself like water-skiing. Complete mind blank here! Also, that's just an example so nothing like "surfboard hires" or something :P

Can someone list a few jobs that need college degrees that deal with the sports industry? I have taken every of my core classes, now I need to decide on my major and minor. At first I thought sports medicine was a good major, and for my minor i was going to pick personal training, becuase I am 21 and adore to bodybuild, and i thought that bing in a gym 24/7 teaching people how to live healthy would be where i want to be. Kinda like home. I hhave also thought of my major being personal training, and minoring in nutrition, but nothing at every that i list over would allow for very much income. Sports medicine would, but I dont know if sports medicine is for me, as I dont want to go to college for 8 years. Does anyone have an idea of what would be good jobs that have something to do with fittness, or sports that pay good?

Ok so for about the last 5 months i've been suffering fro some sort of back iinjury.. I play contact sport and whenever i receive a heavy hit i receive a feeling similar to that of ground shock (except in my back) as i try to run. This usually goes away after 2-3 days and at first i thought it was fine however everytime i have got a hit since it reverts back to the same "shock" feeling and then goes away. I tried to have 4 weeks relax but when i came back the first hit i got caused the same problem. I had an MRi and it showed up clear for stress fractures and the physio seems to think that perhaps it may just be bruising on the bone however i thought that the bruising would have gone away by now. Does anyone know what this could be? Should i go look a neurosurgeon?

Forget expensive sports such as tennis or Nascar , skiing or surfing or horse racing or sailing etc Cheap sports as Soccer that whites dominate (15 of the 19 world champion teams have been fully white with Spain being the last one) , wrestling , MMA , decathlon , high jump , triple jump , pole vault ,gymnastics , discus , hammer , shot put , javelin , walking races , rugby , handball , volleyball , weightlifting , swimming (it's cheap cease the lies) , diving , skateboarding (A skateboard is cheaper than Jordan shoes every these black boys wear) , cycling , boxing (eastern Euros have butch them for years now) , kickboxing etc Average African Americans makes 9 times more money than an Eastern European or a Chinese and they do great in every those sports,so since the financial is not an issue then what? So basketball or running is cheap, but soccer and volleyball or rugby are expensive?Yawn excuses , admit there is a reason white men win everything at the Olympics
